Photoelectric Sensors

Photoelectric sensors are devices used in various applications to detect the presence or absence of objects or to measure their distance by using light. These sensors operate by emitting a light beam (visible or infrared) and detecting the light reflected from or blocked by the target object. They come in three main types: through-beam, where the emitter and receiver are separate and alignment is crucial; retro-reflective, which uses a reflector to bounce light back to the receiver; and diffuse, where the emitter and receiver are housed together and detect light reflected directly from the object. Ideal for automation, these sensors are favored for their non-contact, fast, and reliable detection capabilities.
